This Thursday, Nov. 30, the World Languages and Digital Humanities Studio will host the third meet-up in its series on AI and its diverse impacts in the World Languages & Digital Humanities Studio (JBHT 207) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The final session of the semester will be a workshop on "AI in the Classroom." The DH Meet-Up will be hosted by WLDH Studio Director Curtis Maughan, who will present on the panel along with Maggie Fernandes (English), Guillermo Pupo Pernet (Ph.D. candidate, CLCS) and Ken Muessig (Global Campus).

Flyer for AI in the Classroom WorkshopPresenters will discuss how they have used AI in the classroom in various contexts, from language tutoring for Spanish students to editing Ph.D. research papers.

As AI has been broadly perceived as a potential threat to traditional classrooms, bringing academic misconduct back to the center of discussion at schools and universities, the panel will give both concrete and detailed examples of AI in the classroom and address the broader, systemic impact of AI on the university system.

Lunch will be served after the panel discussion. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend!
