Razorback Basketball 2023: Student Camping Procedures for Arkansas vs. Duke Game

Student camping has been approved for the Arkansas Razorback Men’s Basketball game vs the Duke Blue Devils on November 29, 2023. Campus community members who wish to volunteer to assist with camping may do so on GivePulse. Students wishing to camp should follow the guidelines below.

All students who have purchased a Razorbacks All-Access Pass are eligible to participate in the camping event. Camping will allow students priority access on a first-come, first-served basis to the student section in Bud Walton Arena for that game. If you have not already purchased a Razorback All-Access Pass. You may purchase at arkansasrazorbacks.com/accesspass.

Those who participate in camping activities must abide by all University of Arkansas System; University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; and State of Arkansas applicable laws, policies and procedures. These procedures have been put in place to ensure the safety, security and well-being of students, the university community and the public, as well as safeguarding and preserving all university property and facilities.

Of specific note, the following must be followed:

  • Pre-registration via Hogsync for camping will begin at noon today, Friday, Nov. 17, and end at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28.
    • Please note that pre-registration does not reserve you a place in line. It is available so students can check in with more ease at the designated time. You do not need to pre-register; you may register your tent upon arrival.
  • Registration for camping will be at the South Entrance of Bud Walton with camping in the South Victory Village area for student entry to the game starting at noon and ending at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Tent space is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • An accurate count of student campers registered will be kept to ensure not going over capacity of the student section.
    • Entry to all games is still first-come, first-served until student capacity has been reached.
  • Campers may register up to six campers per tent. Names and student ID numbers for all campers must be provided for registration to be complete. All six student names must be given at the original registration. No names can be added or changed after the original registration. All registered campers must be currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students.
  • Campers must claim a ticket during the open student claim process, which closes 24 hours prior to tip-off. For more information: arkansasrazorbacks.com/accesspass.
  • All registered campers must attend their scheduled classes, drills, labs and other academic commitments during the camping period. Camping is not an excuse to skip class, miss a test or submit an assignment late.
  • One person from each tent must always remain with the tent. If a tent is left unattended at any time, the tent may be removed by the university. Through the tent registration process, campers will be asked to provide two tent captains' names and telephone numbers. These individuals will serve as the contact persons for their registered tent.
  • Tents and other camping equipment must be removed by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29. The full tent party must be present by 4 p.m. to secure their rightful spot in line. Failure to remove tents by this time may result in loss of their spot in line and/or removal of their tent and other campus equipment. All students will be wrist banded at this time.
  • Cutting and other forms of saving spots will not be tolerated, and violators will be asked to move to the back of the line. Students who witness cutting or saving spots are asked to report it to student affairs staff.
  • Tents or equipment must not be affixed to university property. Tents must not be staked into the ground. Building, driveway, street, parking lot and stairway access must not be blocked or compromised from entry/exit.
  • University electrical outlets must not be used.
  • Grilling, cooking, heating or any use of open flames is strictly prohibited.
  • Generators that emit gas or fumes are not permitted.
  • The campus noise ordinance must be followed.
  • Every tent is responsible for disposing of trash properly. Campers will be provided trash bags at check-in to collect trash in and around their campsite.
  • All policies outlined in the U of A Code of Student Life apply.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, vaping and illegal drug use is prohibited.
  • Non-adherence to these restrictions may result in loss of camping and/or ticket privileges.
  • Campers will be moved to the east student entrance of Bud Walton Arena around 4 p.m., following tent breakdown.
  • Campers will receive priority entrance into Bud Walton Arena starting no later than 6:45 p.m., followed by the general student line.
  • University housing furniture including mattresses, chairs, bedframes, etc. is not permitted within the camping area.
  • In the case of inclement weather, camping will not take place, and information will be distributed to all pre-registrants and published in Arkansas News.
  • If camping is cancelled, lineup at the student entrance of Bud Walton Arena will begin at noon on gameday (Nov. 29). Lineup is first-come, first-served, and all students claim their own spot in line.
