Join Muslim Students Association from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in Cordia Harrington Center for Excellence, room 349, for a transformative halaqa series based on Hamza Yusuf's acclaimed book, Purification of the Heart, where we delve into universal heart ailments such as boastfulness, miserliness, lust, hatred, envy and lying — challenges that touch all humans, regardless of faith.

This series isn't just an exploration but a practical guide to cleansing our hearts from these moral and spiritual impediments. By addressing these universal issues, we aim to cultivate qualities that make us better individuals and, by extension, better children, spouses, siblings and parents. All are welcome to attend, as the teachings offer valuable insights that benefit not just individuals, but the broader society in the journey towards collective moral upliftment.

Guest speaker Faizullah Asif is an active community member, mentor and teacher. He is an avid public speaker who enjoys talking about comparative religion, spirituality and the purpose of life. He is a graduate of Bayyinah Institute, where he obtained a diploma in Islamic studies and is currently working on his Master of Islamic Economics and Finance from Guidance College.
