U of A Bands to Host First Concert of the Fall 2023 Season Tonight

The U of A Bands will kick off the fall 2023 concert season at 7:30 p.m. today, Oct. 5, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center on the campus of the U of A.

The evening will begin with a performance by the Wind Symphony under the direction of Jeffrey Summers, associate director of bands. The Wind Ensemble will close out the concert and will feature a guest conductor, Capt. Brandon Hults of the United States Air Force Band.

This concert is dedicated to Chris Knighten, director of bands, who is on medical leave for the remainder of the fall semester but anticipates returning to conducting the Wind Ensemble in spring 2024.
