Food Science's Apple Butter Available for Purchase

Apple butter made by students with locally grown apples is now available for purchase.

A fundraiser for the Food Science Club, 12-ounce jars are $5 each and a case of 12 jars is $50. It will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning Oct. 9 as long as supplies last.

To purchase, go to the Department of Food Science (2650 Young Ave., Office N113) or call 479-575-4605. Accepted payment types are cash or check, with checks made out to the U of A Food Science Club. Orders are picked up at the same location.

Students make apple butter at food science's Arkansas Food Innovation Center, which was established in 2013 to assist local food entrepreneurs in Northwest Arkansas.
