A selection of early to mid-20th century Niloak ceramics from the University of Arkansas Museum collections are on display through July 8 at Historic Cane Hill's Niloak & Beyond: 20th Century American Swirl Pottery exhibit.

The exhibit highlights the history of the iconic Arkansas-made ceramics. Visitors can see rare examples of Niloak creations alongside other works with a similar style - the first exhibition in the country to feature the Swirled Missionware approach to American art pottery. Thirty-seven pieces from the University Museum's collections are on display.

In addition, exhibit visitors can explore historic photographs and memorabilia centered around the works.

This one-of-a-kind exhibit was developed in collaboration with the Community Creative Center, numerous institutions and private collectors. In addition, noted historian and Niloak scholar David Edwin Gifford served as the co-curator for this display.

This exhibit is on display at Historic Cane Hill, located on Arkansas Highway 45, approximately 20 miles southwest of Fayetteville and six miles east of the Oklahoma border.
