FutureFuel Chemical Company Offers Scholarship Opportunity for College of Engineering Students
The Terry Martin Endowed Outstanding Intern Award sponsored by FutureFuel Chemical Company is a $1,000 scholarship provided annually to an outstanding intern. The application is now open to all College of Engineering students, with a preference given to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering and computer science majors.
The scholarship was established in 2014 by FutureFuel in recognition of Terry Martin, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. Martin has provided service and mentorship to students in the Electrical Engineering Department and the College of Engineering during his tenure as a faculty member, assistant department head of electrical engineering and senior associate dean for academics.
Students who have worked a part-time or full-time internship with any company during the fall 2022, spring 2023 or summer 2023 semesters are eligible. Students may be finishing an internship when they submit their application. However, students may only receive the award once.
To apply for this scholarship, students must complete and submit the FutureFuel Student Application no later than July 28. Additionally, the student's supervisor during their internship experience must complete an employer nomination form by July 28. The employer nomination form link is available on the student application.
