Staff Senate Accepting Staff Senate Scholarship Applications

If you are a full-time staff member taking classes, you may be eligible for scholarship support through the U of A Staff Senate Scholarship fund.

Applications may be submitted via the fall 2023 Staff Senate Scholarship application. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. June 9. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Awards: The number of scholarships to be awarded will be determined by the number of eligible applicants. Disbursement will be up to $250 for both the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters.

Purpose: This award was developed to promote and encourage staff development through higher education.

Eligibility: Each applicant must be a 100% appointed, full-time University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, staff employee. Applicants must also be employed by the U of A for at least one year prior to the scholarship deadline.

Criteria: The following criteria will be utilized to determine the award. Each applicant must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to receive the award,
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester in order to continue the scholarship for the spring semester,
  • Be enrolled in at least three credit hours of coursework per semester,
  • Express a desire to contribute to the university through further educational endeavors,
  • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance in the pursuit of further education,
  • Provide two references by submitting two recommendation forms and
  • Finalists may be interviewed by the members of the Scholarship Committee.
