KUAF's Ozarks at Large Features I³R and UAMS Collaboration to Restore Sense of Touch
KUAF's Ozarks at Large features collaboration between the Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research (I³R) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to restore the sense of touch.
The collaborative group — including the Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research, UAMS, health technology companies and providers — are working on the groundbreaking study. The researchers are studying the use of a neural-enhanced prosthesis to restore the sense of touch with upper limb amputees.
In this 10-minute podcast, reporter Rachell Sanchez-Smith and producer Sophia Nourani reflect on what they learned during their visit to the research center.
