Sign-Ups Open Now for U of A Spring 2023 Hackathon

Students are encouraged to sign up now for the 2023 J.B. Hunt Hackathon hosted by the Association for Computing Machinery in the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering at the U of A.

The hackathon will be held at the J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence from 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Early registration for the Hackathon closes March 24. Those who register early will be guaranteed food and a T-shirt at the event.

The J.B. Hunt Hackathon is a competition hosted in conjunction with universities across the country. The 24-hour competition consists of teams competing against each other to develop a working prototype that is presented in front of a panel of J.B. Hunt, ArcBest, SupplyPike and Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering judges. There will be free food from Chick-fil-A, Einstein Bagels, Taziki's Café and Domino's Pizza over the course of the event in addition to free T-shirts and prizes. Participants are not required to have a computer science background—all majors are welcome!
