Over 160 Employers Hiring at STEM Career Fair March 1
More than 160 employers and organizations will be recruiting students in the STEM fields — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — for jobs, internships and co-op positions at the STEM Career Fair on Wednesday, March 1. The University Career Development Center, in collaboration with the College of Engineering, will host the fair from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3:30 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena.
The STEM Career Fair is designed for all U of A students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. However, any student or recent graduate interested in working in any of these fields is also invited to attend. Over 160 employers from around the country have registered for the fair to meet, network with and potentially hire talented U of A students for their internships, co-ops and full-time positions. A student-only quiet space will be available to anyone seeking a calming environment to lower stress, quiet their mind, de-stimulate or restore their selves while attending the career fair. Follow signage to visit the space.
Attending the fair speeds up the interview and hiring process, as many companies interview on campus the day after the fair!
It is important for students to prepare for the STEM fair and bring several copies of your resume. Employers will be available to review students' resumes at the STEM Fair Employer Resume Reviews scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge. No appointment or registration required.
Students may catch a shuttle to and from the career fair at Bell Engineering (Dickson Street side) starting at 9:15 a.m. for Tau Beta Pi students and 9:30 a.m. for all students. The last pickup from Bell to Bud Walton before the lunch break will be 11:30 a.m. The fair will close from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. The shuttle will resume pickup after the lunch break at Bell Engineering starting at 12:45 p.m. The last shuttle from Bell Engineering to the fair leaves at 3 p.m., with the last return from Bud Walton to Bell Engineering being 4 p.m.
Business casual attire is required to attend.
