U of A Speech and Debate Society Continues Success
The U of A Speech and Debate Society traveled to compete this weekend at the first annual Dallas Baptist University Invitational. Students Hadley Adkison, Megan Dial, Max Green, Luke Hubbard, Jaci Sabatini and Kierson Titus came away with great success. Out of six competitors, four advanced to the next level of competition in their respective divisions, with one winning the tournament itself.
Green - quarterfinalist, Junior Varsity Division
Hannah Morris, coach - semifinalist, Professional Division
Dial - semifinalist, Junior Varsity Division
Hubbard - champion, Junior Varsity Division
The team will next participate in the University of Central Arkansas "End of Hi-Bear Nation" Debate Tournament, the final tournament of their season, before heading to the International Public Debate Association's national tournament in Boise, Idaho.
