(Digital) Pedagogy Meet-Up: Flipgrid with Hector Wiscow
The (Digital) Pedagogy Meet-Up on Flipgrid will be led by Hector Wiscow, a Master of Arts candidate in Spanish, and will take place from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 29, in the WLDH Studio (J.B. Hunt Center 207). It is free to attend and open to all U of A educators — faculty, graduate and undergraduate students — with an interest in exploring digital pedagogy.
Flipgrid is a social learning platform that allows educators to ask a question either through a video or voice recording, then students can respond in a video or voice recording. Students can write comments in Flipgrid on teacher- or student-created videos. This web of discussion creates an online community where knowledge is shared and created.
The (Digital) Pedagogy Meet-Up explores how to expand pedagogical practices through digital components and other methodologies for world language learning. Each meet-up will cover discussions on the implementation of alternative resources that have a potential impact in current teaching practices. The (Digital) Pedagogy Meet-Up seeks to foster a collaborative community of educators from all corners of the U of A campus as we discuss and explore the intersections of innovative technology and pedagogical practices.
