Daniel Bertalotto

The University of Arkansas Press is pleased to welcome Daniel Bertalotto as new manager of design and production. Since 1996 Bertalotto has worked for the Fayetteville-based marketing agency DOXA / Vantage in increasingly responsible roles as a digital prepress technician, graphic designer, art director and creative director.

Bertalotto replaces Liz Lester, who had served as the U of A production manager since 2017 and retired this year. Lester first began her career at the U of A Press in 1992.

"I can't overstate the value that Liz has brought to the press in her many years of service in varying capacities," said Mike Bieker, director of the U of A Press. "The changes she has witnessed, and expertly navigated, in her years here could be a master class on bookmaking. As she leaves for her much-deserved retirement, I'm very excited to welcome Daniel to the press. His creativity, technical skill and extensive experience make him a great fit for the position."

Since 1980, the U of A Press has published peer-reviewed scholarship and literature of enduring value and curates a list of books by authors of diverse backgrounds writing for specialty as well as general audiences in Arkansas and throughout the world.

Please join the U of A Press in welcoming Bertalotto and in wishing Lester hearty congratulations on a long and valued career.
