Full Circle Food Pantry Kicks Off Sixth Annual Pack the Pantry Homecoming Food Drive

In celebration of Homecoming, the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry is kicking off our sixth annual Pack the Pantry Drive! This drive will run from Monday, Oct. 31, to Friday, Nov. 11. In 2021, we collected over 37,000 items and over $1,000 in monetary donations. This year we are serving a record number of clients, over 1,200 individuals a month, so we need your help to restock our shelves!

Physical donations can be made inside each residence hall, the Freshmen apartments, Mullins Library, the information desk in the Arkansas Union and at multiple other locations around campus with a black Pack the Pantry bin. Additionally, you can visit the Full Circle Food Pantry Amazon Wishlist, which will ship donations directly to our office! If you would like to make a monetary donation, please visit the U of A Online Giving Site!

We will also have time slots available for individuals and organizations to drop donations off at the pantry. Full Circle is located next to Bud Walton Hall, the beige brick dorm building between the stadium and the Union Parking Garage. The entrance to the pantry is on the east side of the building directly across from the base of the Union Parking Garage.

Currently, our most needed items include:

  • Non-scented laundry detergent and hygiene products
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned meat (tuna, chicken, pork and beans)
  • Canned beans (pinto, black, kidney)
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Granola bars
  • Canned vegetables

If you or your organization would like to participate, email our Food Drives Coordinator at fcdrives@uark.edu for more information and to set up a time to drop off your donations!
