Be Part of Make a Difference Day 2022
University of Arkansas

On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Volunteer Action Center will host its annual Make A Difference Day: a day of service on the U of A campus and the surrounding community. Each year, Make A Difference Day generates an immense economic impact for the area and shows students the importance of giving back and serving their community.

The Volunteer Action Center is hoping to have over 950 student volunteers this year, making this the largest Make A Difference Day since 2019. Students who want to be a part of this event should sign up on GivePulse.

There are a large variety of service opportunities available, both on and off campus, which are listed on GivePulse. Students can choose from over 20 projects with local nonprofit organizations, including Apple Seeds Farm, Cobblestone Farms, Potter's House, Habitat for Humanity ReStore and many more!

Make A Difference Day 2022 will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Razorback Gardens. There will be free breakfast, snacks and coffee provided while volunteers arrive to meet and sign in. Each volunteer will also receive a free T-shirt. As some of the service opportunities will be outdoors, it is recommended that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.

For a fun-filled day of meaningful impact and bonding with friends through service, join the Volunteer Action Center for Make A Difference Day 2022 on Saturday, Oct. 22!
