Arkansas students applying for undergraduate admission at the U of A can do so free from Oct.13-15 as part of the Free Application Days event.

In partnership with the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of Admissions will waive the application fee for any Arkansas student who applies for undergraduate admission on one of the three days. 

To take advantage of this special opportunity, students should go to apply.uark.edu to begin an application, clicking the Free Application Days box at the end of the application in place of paying the fee.  

“Creating access to higher education for Arkansas students is one of our top priorities at the University of Arkansas,” said Charles Robinson, interim chancellor. “The opportunity to apply for free is one way that we can help families in our state who have students ready to become Razorbacks.”

For Fall 2023, the U of A will accept test-optional admissions applications, another way of helping academically prepared high school students who may not have had the chance to take the ACT or SAT or who have yet to achieve their best score. Students throughout the state are encouraged to apply for admission early during their senior year in order to have time to take care of everything on their going-to-college checklist.

“This event is part of our You Can at Arkansas outreach campaign,” said Suzanne McCray, vice provost for enrollment and dean of admissions. “This fall, we had a record number of Arkansans in our freshman class. This program was part of helping students in our state gain access, and we are looking forward to helping even more Arkansans attend the U of A this year. We are dedicated to their success and here to help.”
