Major Outages Planned During Fall Break Weekend

A planned power outage is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16, for FAMA to install new equipment.

A planned power outage scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16, will require extended downtime for campus internet and several online services from 4 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. The outage is required for Facilities Management to install new equipment in the Administrative Services Building (ADSB), where the campus Data Center, UAPD, and Parking and Transit are located.  

During the outage, the following cloud-based services will remain available from off campus: 

  • Blackboard Learn 
  • Workday 
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) 
  • Zoom, Box and other cloud services using Azure Single Sign-On 

Services relying on the ADSB Data Center will be unavailable during the outage, including, but not limited to: 

  • Internet and VoIP phone service for buildings on the ADSB distribution switch 
  • UAConnect and Data Warehouse 
  • All uark.edu websites 
  • High-Performance Computing Center  
  • Campus Directory, Arkansas News, Events 
  • MyDocs, Fido and Gizmo file storage 
  • MyLaw   
  • MyParking Login
  • Perceptive Content 
  • Qualtrics Surveys  
  • R25: Series 25 
  • Razorbuck$ (Transact) 
  • Walton College of Business online systems 
  • University Libraries main website 
  • VDI labs and Remote Lab

This is the first of two outages required to complete the work. The second maintenance window will be announced in the coming weeks.
