First NPHC Intake Seminar Set for Today at Unity House

U of A students who wish to seek membership in a National Pan-Hellenic Council organization are required to attend one of the membership intake seminars offered by the Office of Greek Life each academic year.

A membership intake seminar will happen at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 6, at the Unity House on Maple Street.

Greek Life staff will provide vital information to assist students in their pursuit of membership. There are various benefits of joining a fraternity or sorority, such as developing a sense of belonging, networking, leadership opportunities, academic development, understanding the importance of serving in the community, support system, personal and professional development, and creating lifelong friendships.

Any student who has not attended one of the membership intake seminars at the time of application/invitation to an NPHC chapter will not be able to join. It is recommended that any student who may be interested in joining an NPHC organization should attend the membership intake seminar as early as possible and not wait until the membership intake process is advertised by their interested organization.

Students only have to attend one NPHC intake seminar during their academic year.
