Josie Edwards, an apparel merchandising and product development senior at the U of A, has been named winner of a national 2022-23 Textile Design Scholarship by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists Foundation.

Edwards has been a member of U of A's AATCC campus chapter for two years, designed and modeled a garment in last spring's Enclothe: Embody fashion show, works and interned at Violet's Bridal & Formal in Tontitown and completed a study tour in Las Vegas this summer.

The AMPD program is housed in the School of Human Environmental Sciences in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences.

AATCC is a professional association providing test method development, quality control materials, educational development and networking for textile and apparel professionals throughout the world.
