The Diamond Line Issue 5

The Diamond Line is a literary magazine produced by students in the ENGL 3903 class. Issue 5, created during the spring semester of 2022, is now available online at thediamondline.uark.edu!

The digital version was created by members of the editorial staff and includes all works found in the print magazine. It also features information on the current staff, the course and how and when to submit your work for publication.

The Diamond Line is seeking new submissions of original fiction, poetry and visual arts for Issue 6, upcoming in the fall of 2022. Other artistic media are encouraged as well as the publication expands its creative reach. The new submission period opens today, May 9.

The literary magazine showcases the finest creative work of U of A undergraduates. Students may email their submissions to litmag@uark.edu to be reviewed by the staff and can expect a decision sometime mid-fall semester.

Multiple submissions are allowed and encouraged. If your work is accepted elsewhere, notify the editorial team. More information about the process and requirements, and examples of previous magazine issues, can be found at thediamondline.uark.edu.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Include your last name and the genre of your work in the email subject line (ex: student lastname_poetry submission).

  • Poetry packets can include up to three poems but cannot exceed 12 pages.

  • Fiction is limited to 5,000 words.

  • Visual art should be formatted as a scanned copy or a high-resolution image.

  • Students must attach their name, ID number and a cover letter with their submission(s).
