Transit and Parking Reminders for End of the Semester

As the U of A approaches the final days of the spring semester, please review the Transit and Parking information about year-end concerns:

  • To protect access to parking areas that individual permit holders have paid to use, parking enforcement is in place each day the university is open. This includes reading day, Friday, May 6, and during final exams May 9-13. Parking requirements apply even on days when classes are not in session.
  • Commencement ceremonies take place May 13-14, with some parking areas open to guests and family members. Details are available on the university's commencement site.
  • Razorback Transit will continue to run its current routes through Friday, May 13, at 6 p.m. There will be no service Saturday, May 14. Reduced summer routes will begin Monday, May 16.
  • Safe Ride will continue normal operations through Thursday, May 12, and will not be available during the summer months.
  • Beginning Monday, May 16, any vehicle with a current parking permit (except the commuter permit) will have access to resident reserved parking areas. Those lots are indicated in red on the campus parking map.
  • Transit and Parking is currently hiring Razorback Transit drivers and parking enforcement personnel. View the university's job postings for details.
  • The current annual faculty/staff and student permits expire July 31. Current resident reserved and student garage permits expire May 31. Parking permits for the 2022-2023 academic year will be available to faculty and staff in July, and for students in late July or early August. When permits are available, they may be purchased online at myparkingaccount.uark.edu.
