Cinematic Italian Auteurs Course Offered in Fall 2022
Join the Italian Program in Fall 2022 for ITAL 3103: Italian Cinema — "Cinematic Italian Auteurs." This course explores the cinematic genius of some of Italy's most noted auteur directors from the 1950s to the present.
Race, gender and sexuality studies will be considered amongst other themes. Films will be in Italian with English subtitles, but the course will be taught in English. "Cinematic Italian Auteurs" will meet on Wednesdays from 4:10-6:40 p.m.
This course counts towards the Italian minor and gender studies minor. Students will also be encouraged to participate in a symposium celebrating Pier Paolo Pasolini's 100th anniversary of his birth.
