Venue Change Opens More Tickets for Q&A With Queer Eye's Tan France

Tan France, a successful fashion designer, is renowned as the witty wardrobe wiz leading the charge in the fashion department on the Emmy-winning makeover hit and Netflix re-boot, Queer Eye.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The upcoming Distinguished Lectures Committee series Q&A with Queer Eye’s Tan France will be changing venues to help accommodate a larger audience. 

France’s moderated Q&A will now emanate from the Fayetteville Town Center on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. With the venue change, a limited number of additional tickets will be available for reservation starting at Noon on Friday, Feb. 4 at uark.universitytickets.com.

A ticketing account must be created with the Faulkner Performing Arts Center prior to reserving tickets. This can be done at any time before tickets are released by utilizing the button at the top right corner of the screen

Tickets will still be honored for anyone who already reserved them for the previous venue and will receive an email with more details.

A live stream will also be available and open to the public as an alternative to in-person attendance. 

The moderator for the Q&A will be Assistant Professor of History Ren Pepitone. Pepitone, who uses they/them pronouns, specializes in cultural history and the history of sexuality in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

They teach both undergraduate and graduate courses on gender and sexuality, including LGBTQ+ Histories. They are currently finishing a monograph that explores masculinity in professional culture and have begun research on a new project on the culture and politics of amateur theatre in Great Britain and its empire.

One makeover at a time, France showcases how the experience is so much more than just new clothes; it’s about real-life issues, changes, and acceptance on all sides.

With his trademark wit, humor, and radical compassion, France shares empowering lessons on creativity and innovation, diversity and inclusion, and what it takes to break down barriers to foster human connection and acceptance. He provides a unique perspective on the happiness found in being yourself. 

All audience members attending this event will be required to wear a face covering.
