Student Leadership Positions Now Open

If you are looking for a way to get involved on campus, we have a position for you! New Student and Family Programs is hiring student leaders for multiple programs with over 100 open positions. Each position aims to support new students, make an impact, grow your leadership and mentoring skills, and requires different levels of involvement. Each position varies in time commitment, duties and pay.  

Position descriptions are listed below and are also available on our website.  

  • R.O.C.K. Camp Mentor: Serve as mentors who assist incoming students in their transition from high school to college and strengthen their bond to the U of A through the introduction of campus culture and traditions.  
  • Parent & Family Ambassadors: Undergraduate students who assist Parent & Family Programs in supporting families through their student's transition to the U of A. 
  • UARK Cardinal Nights Student Coordinators: Cardinal Nights Student Coordinators work as a team to create, plan, implement and evaluate fun, late-night events for the campus community.
  • A-Week Leader: Facilitate small-group activities as it relates to the A-Week fall transition initiative. A-Week Leaders are required to attend the daily topic-specific programs and small group discussions each morning and at least two all-campus social events in the evenings (attendance at all events is highly encouraged). In addition, A-Week Leaders will be required to volunteer at several daytime events throughout A-Week to support the academic colleges and university colleges contributing to the program. 
  • NSFP Lead Team: This group is made up of exceptional students who are passionate about helping others and taking part in planning major campus events that support first-year students (including A-Week, Welcome Weeks, First-Year Mentoring Program and a few other events throughout the semester).
