Submitted by ASG

Applications are now available for the Associated Student Government Election Promotions Committee. Applications are available on HogSync and are open on a rolling basis. Applications are open to all undergraduate students who meet co-curricular requirements. The Election Promotions Committee will hold its first meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, in Arkansas Union 511.

The ASG Judicial Branch conducts various elections throughout the year. For the fall semester, the Judicial Branch conducts the Senate Vacancy Election and the Homecoming Election. For the spring semester, the Judicial Branch conducts the General Election, which consists of the Senate and Executive Elections. Two of the primary initiatives for elections are to increase the awareness to the student body regarding the importance of voting and maximize voter turnout. The Election Promotions Committee will help complete these two initiatives. For questions about the committee, contact ASG Chief Justice Adam Hagler at asgjcj@uark.edu.
