ASG Sponsoring Moderna/Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Nov. 4
The Associated Student Government — in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health's Office of Health Equity — will host a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for members of the University of Arkansas campus community.
The clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge, and offer both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines. No appointment is needed, and the vaccine is provided free-of-charge.
The clinic is open to individuals eligible for a booster dose, as well as anyone needing the first or second dose of the vaccine series. Please bring your COVID-19 vaccination card if receiving a second or booster dose. Although not required, the university strongly recommends getting vaccinated against COVID-19, as well as receiving a booster dose once eligible.
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best, most effective way to protect yourselves and others from getting COVID-19. Additionally, the COVID-19 vaccines continue to be highly effective at reducing the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and death — even against the widely circulating Delta variant.

BOOSTER DOSE ELIGIBILITY
Recently, U.S. health officials expanded recommendations for COVID-19 booster doses to include guidance for individuals who received the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine. Officials also announced the ability to mix and match booster doses.
-
Those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine must wait at least six months after their second dose to receive a booster, in addition to meeting the underlying medical conditions and/or high-risk setting requirement.
-
Those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are recommended for a booster shot when it has been over two months since they received their vaccine.
