The National Endowment for the Humanities 2022 Summer Stipend competition provides $6,000 in funding for two months of full-time research in the humanities. Internal applications are due Sept. 1, and more information on requirements is available here.
Tenure-track faculty applicants must be nominated by their institution to be eligible. A committee formed by the U of A Humanities Center will evaluate proposals, provide feedback and choose two nominees to be presented by Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation John English.
For full consideration, applicants should provide the committee with their proposed NEH application narrative, bibliography and resume by Sept. 1 through the university's InfoReady system. Full applications are due to the NEH on Sept. 22.
To submit materials, or for questions, please contact Tricia Starks at tstarks@uark.edu.
Non-tenure track faculty do not need to go through the nomination process and may apply directly to NEH.
