Civil Engineering Associate Professor Named ASCE Regional Director
Findlay Edwards, associate professor of civil engineering
During the May 2021 meeting of the American Society of Civil Engineers, civil engineering associate professor Findlay Edwards was elected to serve as Region 4 director. Region 4 is composed of Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Founded in 1852, the mission of the ASCE is to advance civil engineering and protect the public health, safety and welfare. ASCE currently represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries, along with mentoring civil engineering students at higher educational institutions across the nation.
