Women's History Month: Veronica Campbell-Brown
University of Arkansas sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown won bronze, silver, and gold medals at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. She returned to the winner's podium in the Olympic Games at Beijing in 2008 to win gold again.
Campbell-Brown, a native of Jamaica, ran for one outdoor and one indoor season at the U of A in 2004. She is credited with putting the Razorback track and field program on the map for sprinting. Campbell-Brown continues to compete on the track and hopes to qualify for her sixth Olympics.
