Lot 40 is one of several red resident reserved lots that can be used by permit holders from Friday evening, Dec. 18, through Friday, Jan. 8.

Anyone with a current University of Arkansas parking permit may use it to park in a red resident reserved parking lot during the break between semesters.

Specifically, those lots will be available from Friday evening, Dec. 18, through Friday, Jan. 8.

This applies mainly to employees of the university, but any student with a current permit who is on campus during that time may also have access to those parking areas.

The lots are shown in red on the campus parking map.

All other parking regulations still apply during the time between semesters.

In addition, for students with current parking permits who need to leave their vehicle behind during the holiday season, Transit and Parking recommends parking in Lot 99 (south of the main campus on Beechwood Avenue) or in Lot 40A (which is a red resident reserved lot north of Cleveland Street).

Students who decide to leave their vehicle in Lot 40A will have to make sure it is moved out by 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 10 (unless he or she has the appropriate student reserved permit).

UAPD plans to give extra attention to Lot 99 and Lot 40A as a part of their regular patrols.
