Bauman to Explore Fellini's Influence on Italian 'Brand' Globally
Rebecca Bauman, associate professor of Italian at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, will give a presentation on "The Fellini Brand: Marketing Appropriations of the Fellini Name" at 3:30 p.m. Monday via Zoom.
The event is free but registration is required.
Bauman's presentation will explore how the genius of Federico Fellini and his influence on both Italian cinema and modern Italy has evolved not only as a "brand" within the Italian peninsula but also globally.
Bauman also teaches in the Department of Film and Media for the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY, and has authored numerous articles, essays and book reviews on Italian cinema, film melodrama, masculinity and fashion in contemporary film, and mafia studies. She is currently the editor of film and digital media reviews for Italian American Review and chair of Columbia University's Seminar on Modern Italy.
The program is sponsored by the U of A Italian program and the Consulate of Italy at Houston.
