Are you currently taking, or have you considered taking classes here at the U of A? If so, you may be eligible for scholarship support through the U of A Staff Senate Scholarship fund.

Applications are available via the Spring 2021 Staff Senate Scholarship Application. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Nov. 30. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Awards:  The number of scholarships to be awarded will be determined by the number of eligible applicants. Disbursement will be up to $250 for spring 2021 only.

Purpose: This award was developed to promote and encourage staff development through higher education.

Eligibility: Each applicant must be a 100 percent appointed, full-time U of A Fayetteville staff employee. Applicants must also have been employed by the U of A for at least one year prior to the scholarship deadline.

Criteria: The following criteria will be utilized to determine the award. Each applicant must:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher to receive the award,
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the fall semester in order to continue the scholarship for the spring semester,
• Be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours of coursework per semester,
• Express a desire to contribute to the university through further educational endeavors,
• Demonstrate a need for financial assistance in the pursuit of further education,
• Provide two references by submitting two Recommendation Forms, and
• Finalists may be interviewed by the members of the Scholarship Committee.
