Honorary Degree Nominations Open Through Oct. 23

The University of Arkansas is accepting honorary degree nominations through Oct. 23, 2020.

An honorary degree is awarded to a living individual who has achieved extraordinary distinction in a career that has affected the lives of others, particularly through scholarly achievement, public service or philanthropy.

Additional guidelines and a nomination form can be found on the Academy Policy Series page. Nomination forms should be submitted to Honorary Degrees Committee Chair Justin Chimka at jchimka@uark.edu. Successful nominations are recommended by the Honorary Degrees Committee and approved in executive session of the Faculty Senate before being forwarded to the Chancellor's Office for its consideration.
