Live at the Five & Dime with Jake Hertzog

The third season of the "Live at the Five & Dime" outdoor concert series continues online Wednesday, May 13, with guitarist Jake Hertzog.

Hertzog has released numerous albums and has headlined venues such as the Blue Note in New York City and the Salo Jazz Festival in Finland. Under the alias Hey Jazz Guy, Hertzog has also contributed over 30 articles to Guitar Player magazine's 'Lessons' section. Guitar Player has coined him the "Jazz ambassador to the non-jazz world" Additionally, Hertzog was the grand prize winner at the guitar competition at the 2006 Montreux Jazz Festival.

Last July's interview on KUAF's Of Note, with Hertzog, Garrett Jones, and Alan Gosman, discusses the "Live at the Five & Dime" series and previews one of the songs composed by Hertzog that will be part of Wednesday's concert.

This year's series is beginning with short concerts online instead of on the Bentonville square. New concerts are posted each Wednesday at 5 p.m., but you can tune in anytime to enjoy this season's past performances by faculty and student musicians from the U of A's Department of Music and their friends.

Live at the Five & Dime At Home is a collaboration between the Department of Music, the Walmart Museum, and Downtown Bentonville Inc.
