ASG Supports SafeZone, UAPD's Personal Safety App

ASG Supports SafeZone, UAPD's Personal Safety App
Submittted by UAPD

On March 10, the Associated Student Government Senate passed a resolution to support the SafeZone app. The purpose of marketing the SafeZone app is to make students, staff, and faculty aware of this app that can help in any emergency situation.

SafeZone is an app that connects students, faculty and staff directly to the University of Arkansas Police Department when there is an emergency on campus, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once you activate the app on your phone and request help, your location will be shown on a map for police officers to provide assistance. This call for help will give officers a general location so you must keep an eye out for responding officers when you are in need.

UAPD has been working hard to make campus safer every day, and SafeZone is a fast and efficient way to request help. Students, faculty, and staff can download the app using one of the following links. App registration requires the use of your University email.

For more information about SafeZone visit the UAPD Campus Safety App page.
