Health Center Offers Remote Wellness Programming; TeleWellness Coaching

There are many things out of our control right now, but the one thing everyone can do is take care of their well-being.

Pat Walker Health Center's Department of Wellness and Health Promotion wants to ensure the University of Arkansas campus community has access to impactful wellness resources while still promoting social distancing measures.

The department has created an Online Wellness Calendar and Online Wellness Resources for students, faculty and staff.

The Wellness Calendar includes free, online practices everyone can do at home, including yoga, meditation, tai chi, qigong, and more. WHP staff will also offer weekly activities such as live yoga, mindfulness and Tai Chi sessions on the @uarkwellness Instagram.

Virtual Wellness Coaching

Additionally, the Department of Wellness and Health Promotion is offering TeleWellness coaching through email and Zoom. Students, faculty and staff can sign-up for wellness coaching online or by emailing wellness@uark.edu.

"These unprecedented times can potentially lead to an increase in stress and anxiety for many, but we encourage making time to tend to your own wellness, said Asher Morgan, wellness specialist. "We remain determined to helping our community through these difficult times, and are committed to providing  as many resources as possible."
