Men's home basketball games require more parking than just the areas around Bud Walton Arena.

Transit and Parking reminds everyone that athletic events during basketball season means more frequent instances of vacating certain lots.

During football season, it isn't complicated to know when to move your vehicle. Razorback Priority parking areas need to be vacated on the Friday night before every home Saturday football game.

During basketball season, however, with both men's and women's games, there are many more times in which lots must be vacated. At times a person may need to move his or her vehicle more than once in a given week.

Transit and Parking recommends Lot 99 for parking permit holders who need to relocate.

It all begins this evening, when the Razorbacks host Rice University at 7 p.m.  Priority parking areas need to be vacated by 5 p.m.

Those areas are shown on the men's basketball parking map.

After tonight, Arkansas' next home game will be on Tuesday, Nov. 12 when they host North Texas.

The Lady Razorbacks play Friday morning this week against New Orleans, in a rare 10:30 a.m. tip-off time. The areas that need to be vacated for women's games are located on the women's basketball parking map.

After that, the Lady Razorbacks will host McNeese State on Monday evening, Nov. 11.

Transit and Parking will continue to provide email reminders for each home athletic event throughout basketball season and will supplement that via social media.

In addition, you may have seen the article about how athletics is working with Razorback Transit to provide visiting fans additional transportation assistance for basketball games.

Those on campus who are attending the game or those who are visiting campus to come to the game may want to consider routes 81 and 82. All of the details are in the article about game day bus routes.
