Live at the Five and Dime Features the Manguaré Trio as Part of Hispanic Heritage Month
Manguaré Latin American Music Trio
The "Live at the Five & Dime" outdoor concert series celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with the Manguaré Trio on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The concert is free and from 6-8 p.m. outside the Walmart Museum on the Bentonville Square. The musicians are Catalina Ortega (flute), Fernando Valencia (piano), and Fernando Sanchez (percussion).
"Live at the Five & Dime" is a collaboration between the University of Arkansas Department of Music, the Walmart Museum, and Downtown Bentonville Inc. The 25 concerts in this year's series run through Oct. 9. The performances feature faculty, students and other artists connected to the Department of Music at the University of Arkansas, and overlap partly with the Wednesday Farmer's Market on the Bentonville Square.

Sept. 18 – Manguaré Trio: Latin American Music with Catalina Ortega (flute), Fernando Valencia (piano), and Fernando Sanchez (percussion).
Sept. 25 – 5-10 Blues Train Men: Asher Perkins, Julius Kwanza, and Jacob Skinner.
Oct. 2 – University of Arkansas Songwriter's Workshop, directed by Jake Hertzog.
Oct. 9 – University of Arkansas World Music Ensemble, directed by Nikola Radan.
