WordPress can be used for e-publications, lab websites, student projects and RSO sites.
WordPress is a free, easy-to-use, open-source blogging and web-publishing platform provided for University of Arkansas students, faculty, staff and affiliates. WordPress at the U of A offers templates customized for university use, user-friendly themes, security and technical support.
Who Can Request a WordPress Site?
WordPress can be used for e-publications, lab websites, student projects and RSO sites. Faculty, staff and students can request a site by visiting the Request A Site page.
Visit the WordPress Template webpage for template ideas. To be inspired, visit existing WordPress websites, such as Research Frontiers, the Fulbright REVIEW, the TEXT Program, and many others.
How Does the WordPress Team Help?
The WordPress team can help to build creative and functional sites. While the WordPress team can help create websites, they do not manage the site or provide content. Rather, the WordPress team offers training and tutorials on how to manage your website and advice on presenting relevant content. Visit the WordPress video tutorial library to get started.
