U of A Faulkner Center's Season Tickets on Sale Starting July 26

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center at the University of Arkansas is announcing the start of its FPAC Presents ticket sales to the general public, beginning Friday, July 26.

The upcoming season is full of excitement as the center’s signature FPAC Presents series offers a varied slate of performances for all tastes.

The Faulkner Center is kicking the season off in style with “The Martha Redbone Roots Project: The Garden of Love-Songs of William Blake” from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. This cultural journey is an exploration into Redbone’s roots in Black Mountain, Kentucky, and will include a post-show Q&A.

“Josephine the Play” will be performed from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020. This burlesque cabaret dream play combines cabaret, theatre and dance to tell the story of the iconic Josephine Baker, the first African-American international superstar and one of the most remarkable figures of the 20th century. This show is intended for adult audiences.

“Robin Spielberg in Concert” will ring through the halls of the Faulkner Center from 7 to 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Spielberg has been hailed as one of America’s most popular contemporary female pianists/composers and has been featured on multiple nationwide programs.

The FPAC Presents season culminates as the Faulkner Center and the King Fahd Center for Middle East Studies present Salma El Assal from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. April 23, 2020. Originally from El Obain in western Sudan, Assal presents a suite of traditional Sudanese songs. She has spread her message of love throughout the world while maintaining her Sudanese roots.

About the Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center: The newest performing arts center at the University of Arkansas — a renovation of the old Field House — is named the Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center, in honor of the couple’s major gift to the project. Completed in September 2017, this world-class performance venue is 39,400 square feet, with seating for 587, and a stage that can accommodate as many as 250 performers. The center is the main performance venue for the university’s J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences Department of Music and hosts guest musical activities for the university and Northwest Arkansas community.
