Faculty Can Enjoy 'Coffee with the Provost' April 17
U of A faculty members can participate in a group discussion with Jim Coleman, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, at "Coffee with the Provost" held from 2-3 p.m. April 17 in the Pederson Conference Room (428) in the Administration Building.
Coleman will listen to concerns from faculty, answer their questions and discuss his vision for the university and its academic units. Refreshments will be provided.
"Our faculty and the work they do are vital to the success of the University of Arkansas ecosystem," Coleman said. "They are on the front lines of accomplishing our mission to prepare students for meaningful and successful lives and conduct research and scholarship that matters, both of which improve the quality of life for our state and nation. I look forward to hearing their thoughts and answering any questions they may have."
"Engagement with our Provost is a key aspect of our faculty development efforts. It will help them better understand their importance to the university and where they fit into our broader efforts as a campus," said Ro Di Brezzo, vice provost for faculty affairs. "All faculty are encouraged to sign up for this important event."
Those interested in attending should RSVP by April 12 by emailing facdev@uark.edu with their name, title and department. Fifteen attendees will be chosen at random from those who RSVP, and invitations will be emailed Monday, April 15.
The Coffee with the Provost event will be held on a monthly basis during the academic year.
