Graduate School Hosts 10th Annual Forum for Minority-Serving Institutions

Representatives from minority-serving institutions attended the university 10th-annual Graduate Research Opportunities Forum earlier this month
The University of Arkansas Graduate School hosted the 10th annual Graduate Research Opportunities Forum March 6-8. The forum is a way to build relationships with faculty and administrators from minority-serving institutions.
The Graduate School aims to grow minority student enrollment through recruitment strategies like the Research Opportunities Forum.
The forum consisted of presentations from the Graduate School and Research and Innovation staff. The presentations included information booths about undergraduate summer research opportunities. Attendees also met with University of Arkansas departmental faculty and administrators.
Additionally, forum participants attended campus dinners that featured appearances from the University of Arkansas Inspirational Chorale and the University of Arkansas Jazz Ensemble.
Institutions represented at the forum included, North Carolina A&T University, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Philander Smith College, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, California State University, University of Providence, Fort Valley State University, Grambling State University and St. Mary's College of Maryland.
