Celebrate Global Series: USA Day Tonight

Explore the United States this month at the Holcombe Global Series: USA Day.

The evening starts at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Holcombe Hall's living room.

There will be interactive state booths to visit as well as performances and samples of famous regional dishes. This is a collaboration between the International Culture Team and University Housing that allows Americans to share their life experiences and diverse culture within the United States.

"I have so much pride for my state and I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the great state of Texas," said freshman presenter Mason Purkis. "Being able to participate in USA Day allows me to share my culture and where I came from with students from other states and other countries."

There will be representatives from many American states.

"I'm excited for people to learn about the cultural differences between the western lifestyles and the Native Americans within the state," said Oklahoma freshman Jamie Black.

This event is open to all within the university community. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and engage throughout the evening.

Global Series is an on-going program.
