After months of planning and preparation, VoIP phones are being delivered to the first group of buildings this week. Eighteen campus buildings will receive VoIP phones or headsets before this week is over, with the remaining buildings scheduled weekly throughout February and March.

If you have not yet had an opportunity to view the phones, plan to attend the VoIP phone demonstration on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the Tech Spot in the Arkansas Union.

Stop by Wednesday's demo to ask questions about this project and also see the capabilities of the new phones, which include voicemail to email, simple transferring features, call forwarding and more.

The first eighteen buildings to receive VoIP phones include: Walton College of Business buildings (WCOB, RCED and WJWH), Davis Hall, Global Campus (GLBL), Gibson Annex, J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence (JBHT), Hunt Hall, Kimpel Hall, Mcllroy House (MCHS), Sustainability House, Uptown East and West and five housing locations: Brough Commons, Buchanan-Droke, Gladson-Ripley, Humphreys and Yocum Hall.

Week two buildings include: Arkansas Union, David W. Mullins Library, University House, Harry R. Rosen Alternative Pest Control Center, Chemistry and Biochemistry Research Building, Fine Arts Center, Human Environmental Sciences Building, Leflar Law Center, George & Billingsley Music Building, Jim and Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center, Champions Hall, Lewis E. Epley Jr. Band Hall, John A. White Engineering Hall, John W. Tyson Building, Stadium Drive Garage and Union Station.
