Research Into Consent, Pornography Topics for Friday Program

Two graduate students with the Sexual Education and Consent Studies Laboratory of the University of Arkansas will deliver presentations of their research Friday afternoon.

Tiffany Marcantonio, a doctoral student, will discuss "'Even Drunk I Am Always Capable of Saying No': How College Students Conceptualize the Relationship Between Alcohol and Sexual Consent."

Doctoral candidate Malachi Willis will present "The Process of Quantifying Consent Cues in Pornography: Methodological Perspectives."

Their program will be 3-4 p.m. Nov. 2 in Room 311 of HPER. Refreshments will be served. The SECS Lab is part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation in the College of Education and Health Professions.

Marcantonio and Willis will be presenting their research the following week at the annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality in Montreal, Canada.

Their adviser is Kristen Jozkowski, associate professor of community health promotion.
