Pat Walker Health Center's Wellness and Health Promotion department is offering an eight-week, Krav Maga self-defense course starting Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The class is held on Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the health center's second floor activity room.

Learn this proven self-defense method that incorporates hand-to-hand combat techniques developed by the Israeli Defense Force. This beginners-level class covers ways to escape from a vary of attacks like bear hugs, choke holds, and shirt grabs.

Registration for the course is required and only a limited number of spots are available. The cost of the program is $40 for students and $55 for faculty/staff. No prior experience in Krav Maga is required.

To register for Krav Maga Self-Defense, see the front desk staff at the Pat Walker Health Center — 525 N. Garland Avenue — or call 479-575-4451.
