Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition Final Round This Thursday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The final round of the 2018 William H. Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in the E.J. Ball Courtroom, located on the second floor of Waterman Hall.

University of Arkansas School of Law students Alyssa Watkins and Krysten Kennedy for the plaintiff will argue their case against fellow students Courtney Brooks and Hannah Andrews for the defense.

The round will be judged by an esteemed panel:

  • Chief Justice John Dan Kemp Jr., Arkansas Supreme Court
  • Magistrate Judge Erin L. Wiedemann, United States District Court, Western District of Arkansas
  • Judge Kenneth S. Hixson, Arkansas Court of Appeals

The event is open to the public, and the campus and legal communities are invited to attend.
