Staff Appreciation Week Events for This Week

The fourth annual Staff Appreciation Week at the University of Arkansas kicks off today, Monday, Oct. 8.

Throughout the week, U of A staff members are able to receive special discounts (with ID) at the following locations:

  • 25 percent off for U of A employees — University Bookstore, Garland Ave Parking Garage
  • $20 off annual membership — redeem at UREC main office HPER 225
  • $5 off 1-hour massage — call 479-575-4646 to schedule
  • 10 percent off with ID — Hog Heaven, Bud Walton Arena
  • Free tire rotation with oil change. Mention UA Staff Appreciation for offer when scheduling service — University Auto.

Additionally, Fidelity Investments will be on campus offering free retirement counseling for all UofA staff. These sessions will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 12 — both in the Arkansas Union. To secure an appointment, please call 1-800-642-7131.

To cap off the week, Staff Senate will be hosting an Ice Cream Social for all staff members on Friday, Oct. 12, in the Verizon Ballroom from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This event will feature the K9 Officers from UAPD, as well as music, ice cream, and other refreshments.

Finally, Arkansas Razorback athletics will be offering discounts to the following events:

Razorback Soccer — Thursday, Oct. 11

All University of Arkansas staff members will $2 tickets to the Razorback Soccer match versus Kentucky on Thursday, October 11 at 6:30PM at Razorback Field. Must show UA ID at the Razorback Field ticket window on gameday to receive this special promotion. Gates open at 5:30PM.

Razorback Volleyball — Friday, Oct. 12

All University of Arkansas staff members will receive $2 tickets to the Razorback Volleyball match versus Mississippi State on Friday, October 12 at 7:00PM inside Barnhill Arena. Must show UA ID at the Barnhill Arena ticket window on gameday to receive this special promotion. Gates open at 6:00PM. 

Razorback Swimming and Diving — Saturday, Oct. 13

All University of Arkansas staff members will receive free admission plus the first 50 staff members will receive a free Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwich at the Razorback Swimming and Diving meet inside the HPER at noon Saturday, Oct. 13. Must show UA ID at the marketing table on meet day to receive this special promotion. Doors open at 1 p.m.
