The University of Arkansas has begun a nationwide search to fill the position of associate vice chancellor for information technology and chief information officer after the recent appointment of former CIO Chris McCoy as the vice chancellor for finance and administration.

The successful CIO candidate will play a principal role in providing strategic vision and leadership for all facets of university IT and overall operational management of the IT Services department. The individual will collaborate with both academic and administrative leaders to facilitate institutional change and create a positive organizational culture for information technology services across campus.

John English, dean of the College of Engineering, will chair the search committee. In an effort to find the best candidates, IT Services encourages higher education and technology professionals to submit nominations for CIO candidates.
